HEALTH AND THERE TYPES, HOW TO BE HEALTHY

SUMMARY:

A resource for everyday life, not the objective of living . Health is a positive concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities.

Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. By adopting 12 tips of being healthy given by WHO will make us health.

INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH:

The word “HEALTH” is not only word for all living organisms but its great blessing far more than our expectations especially for human being . Health is sense of well-being not only physically but mentally too. “Any kind of abnormality in normal mechanism of human body leads to diseased condition”.

DEFINITION OF HEALTH:

HEALTH is state of well being , and free from any physical , mental , social and emotional stress. Normally, people think about health is only physical health but other types of health equally valued. Any abnormality in one type of health leads effect the other type.

FOR EXAMPLE:

If a person is physical fit and healthy but he’s suffering from depression for last six month so it is definite that the person doesn’t look healthy as he/she have to. Moreover he will not be able to concentrate to his work properly.

DEFINITION OF HEALTH BY WHO:

According to WHO (1948) :

“HEALTH is a state of complete physical, mental, and social

well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity”.

WHO elaborate definition of HEALTH in 1986 by adding,

A resource for everyday life, not the objective of living . Health is a positive

concept emphasizing social and personal resources, as well as physical capacities”.

TYPES OF HEALTH:

There are many types of health but few very important are,

PHYSICAL HEALTH.

MENTAL HEALTH.

EMOTIONAL HEALTH.

SPIRITUAL HEALTH.

FINANCIAL HEALTH.

PHYSICAL HEALTH:

Physical health means a disease free state and having physically active and healthy body. A physically healthy individual can perform daily activities properly . A physically healthy man is more prone to be mentally and spiritually healthy.

WHO 12 TIPS OF BEING HEALTHY:

1- EAT HEALTHY DIET.

2- BE PHYSICALLY ACTIVE EVERYDAY.

3- GET VACCINATED.

4- DON’T USE ANY FORM OF TOBACCO.

5- AVOID OR MINIMIZE USE OF ALCOHOL.

6- MANAGE STRESS FOR YOUR PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH.

7- PRACTICE GOOD HYGIENE.

8- DON’T SPEED , DRINK AND DRIVE.

9- WEAR SEAT-BELT WHEN DRIVING AND HELMET WHEN CYCLING.

10- PRACTICE SAFE SEX.

11- REGULAR CHECK YOUR HEALTH.

12- BREAST FEEDING.

MENTAL HEALTH:

According to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, mental health refers to a person’s emotional, social, and psychological well-being.

IMPACT OF PHYSICAL HEALTH TO MENTAL HEALTH

There is great impact of physical health on mental health and vice versa as mentally ill person can not be a physically healthy . Individual always seems decline posture and unable to concentrate on daily activities and socially isolated.

FACTORS AFFECTING HEALTH:

GENETIC FACTOR.

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTOR.

BIOLOGICAL FACTOR.

GENETIC FACTORS THAT AFFECT HEALTH:

Genetic factor is one of the most important factor that effect the health . Any mutated gene cause change in overall genetic make-up. Genetic makeup inherit from parents to off-springs. Genetic factor can not be changed .

ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS THAT AFFECT HEALTH:

PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT.

SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC ENVIRONMENT.
